SFC1712-Use Pink and Blue on your card & Last day for ONE A DAY!!

Before we get started on our challenge, I wanted to remind you all that today is the last day to take advantage of the One A Day In May!  You know that the One A Day In May is a pre-order only.  You have to order it before May 1st or you miss your chance!  One A Day In May is only $30.00  and for that $30.00 you will be receiving 31 images.  The fun part is that you don't get all the images sent to you at once - you will receive one new image each day in May.  It's really fun to open you mail each morning and see what the new image is.  But there are ways you can actually get more than the 31 images for your $30.00!  If you order the One A Day In May through our facebook page you will receive an extra image!  Plus, if you are signed up for Squigglefly's rewards program  your $30.00 will earn you credits for two free images that you can redeem at any time!  So that makes it 34 images for $30.00!    Now let me tell you that the deal gets even sweeter!    Everyone who orders the One A Day In May is entered into a drawing to win a priority mail box full of papercrafting goodies that you will love!  The value of the contents is over $40.00 so hurry up and order the One A Day in May before it's too late!
The images in the One A Day In May will still be available for purchase in the store later, but they will be at full price.  I promise you will be so sorry you didn't order!
I LOVE ONE A DAY IN MAY--and you will too!!

Now, on to this week's challenge, SFC1612 Mother's Day.

This week we are getting ready for Mother's Day, it's just the 2 week of May! So think of all those mom's in your life, your own and those surrounding you. Do she like a loving card? a funny card? Make something wonderful. As always, we would love for you to include a wonderful image from Squigglefly; to win a prize you must do so, but it is not required to participate.

Now, Let's start out with some fun samples to inspire you this week from the Holley Hobbyists.

Pat Martin made a stunning circular shaped Stand-up card that any Mom would proudly display! WOW. She used a great image called Sassy Sally Loves Birds by artist Cheryl Alger and she added a sweet sentiment that will warm a mother's heart.

Theresa Gerber made this sweet card using Hugs for Kitty by artist Deena Perault. What an adorable child hugging a cat, lovely sentiment for Mother's day and perfect for a mom or other family member!

Shawna Sealander made a wonderful Mother's Day card using "Noah's Suprise Gift" from artist Cheryl Alger. I just wonder what that little boy has in store for his mom in that box.

Charlene Mitchell created a beautiful card using Country Birdhouse Duo by artist Cheryl Alger. Isn't that little house sweet? I walk all over my neighborhood and I would love to see a birdhouse like that. That Happy Mother's Day ticket is great.

Tammy Hair made a beautiful card using printed papers and amazing coloring, the image is from artist Sandy Sommerfield and it's called Gone Buggy. Too cute! I love her punny sentiment! Just perfect for a mom who needs a little laugh.

And lastly, I (Holley Barnhart from Holley's Blog) used an adorable image from artist Cheryl Alger called "Allie Kisses a Blue Bird." Can't you just imagine a little girl picking up the birds and loving on them. Wouldn't a mom just smile seeing this? Here's the front of the card.

Inside the card, I added this image, it's Baby Bird Bathtime by Fawn Palmer. Can you imagine a mom's reaction when she realizes her little girl is putting those birds (as well as her sibling!!) in the bird bath. The sentiment says "You taught me to love all things. Happy Mother's Day!"

I hope these cards have inspired you to make a card this week! We realize that many people don't have blogs, but instead participate in our challenges using on-line galleries. We love that you are helping us spread the word about Squigglefly! However, many of the galleries require passwords and not all of us at Squigglefly belong to every gallery or group. Squigglefly Challenge #14, SFC1412 Orange you Glad I didn't say Banana?

Welcome to the Squigglefly Challenge Blog!

Are you ready for a new contest? Well, first let me announce who won last week! Last week's challenge was to CASE a design team member's work. The Winner is Shirley Qu! She made this wonderful card using Old Barn from artist Lynne Stansbery.

Thanks to everyone for playing, its so much fun to see another crafter's work get CASEd and to see what someone does with the idea. Please contact Holly at usyungs@gmail.com, for your prize.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Now, on for this week's challenge, SFC1412, this week the theme is
"Orange you Glad I didn't say Banana?"

Ever had a little kid tell you a knock knock joke? Well here's one of the favorites:
Knock Knock; Who's There? Knock, Knock; Who's There? Banana. Banana Who?
Knock Knock; Who's There? Knock, Knock; Who's There? Banana. Banana Who?
Knock Knock....this will go on as the child giggles and the adults get bored....
at some point the kid will finally say
"Orange", Orange Who? "Orange, you glad I didn't say Banana?"
ha ha ha....then much like any child, they immediately start the SAME knock knock joke over.

So, this week's Squigglefly challenge is called "Orange you glad I didn't say Banana?" You can participate in this week's challenge using ANY of THESE THREE options:
1) you can either use the color scheme orange and yellow on your card; or
2) you can use any PUNNY joke/saying on your card; or
3) use any fruit themed image or embellishment on your card.

So, show me your best work and as always, we would love for you to include a wonderful image from Squigglefly; to win a prize you must do so, but it is not required to participate. Now, Let's start out with some fun samples to inspire you this week from the Holley Hobbyists.

Pat Martin made a wonderful summery card using a great image called Beach Babies by artist Alecia Blake and she added a delightful punny funny saying to it too.

Theresa Gerber made this fun card using Humpty Dumpty Falls by artist Monica Estill! She colored up the egg in orange, which is perfect for the challenge and for the Easter holiday, then she added a punny sentiment "Cracking up over you." Her card actually fills in TWO items of the challenge.

Shawna Sealander two different cards, one using the color combo and one using a very punny joke! The first card using this adorable teddy bear called Balloon Bear from artist Fawn Palmer. Check out the beautiful paper layering she did. Note: this stamp also includes a wonderful saying with it that is not shown here, it says "I miss you already."
Inside her card she added this funny saying:Her second card uses a very PUNNY saying "Shoot the Moon!" and she pairs it inside the card with a wonderful stamp from artist Monica Estill. What do you think this card looks like, hmmm?
Sure gave me a chuckle....Here's the inside of her card, the stamp inside is called Shoot the moon, and I love the sentiment that she added.

Charlene Mitchell created a beautiful card called An Upside Down Moment by artist Alecia Blake. Isn't that little girl adorable? I can SO see that little girl telling you a knock-knock joke!!
Tammy Hair made this adorable card in yellow and oranges, the image and the wonderful saying come from artist Marla Shega and it's called Hannah's Hat. Too cute!
And lastly, I (Holley Barnhart from Holley's Blog) completed both items 1 and 2 in the challenge by making my card both yellow and orange AND by adding a punny saying too. This brand new image is called Tulip display by artist Lynne Stansberry.
I hope these cards have inspired you to make a card this week for the "Orange you Glad I didn't say Banana Challenge." Don't forget...use yellow/orange or add a funny pun to your card or show me some fruit....can you do all three? I challenge you....
